Move to Storage
Moving day can be a difficult one, there are a lot of things that need to be taken care of. This is particularly true if you are moving your possessions into storage. The best way to make the day go as smoothly as possible is to choose a reputable mover. Even then there are a few other things that you will need to do to make sure that your move is a success.
Being Ready to Move
On moving day you are going to want to make sure that everything is ready to go before the movers arrive. Remember that if they have to wait before they can start loading you will be charged for the time. You will need to make sure that there is a place for the moving truck to park out front of your house and that if you need to book the elevator in your building that this is taken of care of ahead of time.
It is also important to know who is responsible for moving your belongings. When you are moving into storage, it will be our company who is responsible. You will need to make sure that everything that you don’t plan to put into storage is clearly marked or separated from the items that are to be moved. We will give you an inventory of all of the items we have loaded, make sure that you verify that everything is on this list and ensure that you keep a copy.
Our Professional Movers
When moving your possessions into storage it is also important to make sure that you know where they are going to be stored. Normally it will be at the moving company’s warehouse but this is not always the case. Some smaller movers will use a third party storage facility. This is not necessarily a problem as long as it is secure but it is important that you know where your possessions are being stored. It is a good idea to visit the storage facility to check it out and make sure that it is secure before you commit to a moving company.
